The Teenage Dreams Of Lauren Hamami (January 2015)
by Lauren Hamami
I was back in my old bedroom and my brother came in and I fell asleep and when I woke up he was in my cabinet where I used to store my bowl. He was inspecting it and a gram and a half bottle of Wild Turkey. I said very defensively "Nevin, this is from high school, not my current life." He seemed inquisitive. The next thing I know, he's driving a red '76 BMW and I'm in the passenger's seat. He revs the engine 5 yards from the shore and parks just where the waves break on land. I'm scared but he's comfortable. Then I raced an Italian man around my old neighborhood. He was in a red and black go kart and I on a red and black motorcycle. I knew the roads, so I was ahead the whole time.
