Pony Payroll Bones Talkin Two Poems for July
by Matthew PonY Bones Proctor

Pony Payroll Bones Talkin What we saw and heard in a children’s game

Let’s see who can hold thar breath tha
Longest underneath tha sunlight.

This was always before thunderstorm blue bruising

Old highway disappearing
Soundless carriages
Vaporous horses gallop
In tha sucking silence

Oak tree flood plain by Dykes Creek
PEcan tree and the pecan tree shadow

That froth of lightning when that thunder bruise storm gets real
Going.

THen night’s wet growl goes growls deeper
darker tones.

Pony Payroll Bones talkin When tha Roamer Gets Lonely

Towards tha railway

stars are sparks

The wrong dead guitar player
lures childrens

railroad in tha hot summer
baking animal left overs

railroad in tha hot summer
bends the air all around

Towards tha railway roams
the long dead wrong guitar player
lures all sorts

He did put tha moon
in tha blue black
summer night sky

It was a stray cat's eye
He turned into a marble
he put that

into tha sky
with his long guitar fingers

all sorts
go to tha railraod
never come back

days and nights

nights and days
