Horrorscopes for October 2013
by Zack Kouns
Aries (March 21-April 19) Torment of the metals inside you. Decaying things in bloom. Resurrection.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) Child at the breast of Saturn: Drink from the puddle of your aloneness and feel the moon rise in your redeemed, everlasting hidden vessel.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Carve symbols in the tree that curves and entwines outside your harrowed bodily prison. Birds are in the branches and they know the songs of mortality.
Cancer (June 22-July 22) And finally he arrives: the child who drives a caravan of solar systems. He touches you and a vine from your intestines coils and ascends toward the light.
Leo (July 23-August 22) Smaller than wickedness and diving into the fused bodies of your ancient parents, you find yourself lost in their corridors of pubic hair but shining brighter than all the suns in the galaxy.
Virgo (August 23-September 22) The nude woman, the ax, bones and vials of poison, a tower, trees on fire, bells tied around your genitals.
Libra (September 23-October 23) Consonance. Dissonance. An organ made of animal bones plays a slow march while a sun rises over a ruined city.
Scorpio (October 24-November 21) Aurora, shock and compel the creature called loving another person to destroy her flayed body so that it can taste of something full of night and never ending.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) Your boy emerges from the chrysalis; his face has shrunk in terror and so you know he's encountered Divinity and is truly born.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19) Brass alloys and the gentle fall of a civilization. Silver streams of moonlight. Diana has married.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18) Quartered. In the first square you find the child who died. In the second square you find more than your share of solitude. In the third square you find a beetle swallowing a dark red shard of light. In the fourth square is yourself, beaten by life until you understand that you are not your body.
Pisces (February 19-March 20) Painful, abiding love; gently lull the manic primate mind to sleep and embrace her. Mouth on her breasts. Her hands find your sexual organ and your tongue searches for hers in the ecstatic repose of union.
